Meet some of our wonderful grant recipients

"The support and assistance I received from Five Points of Hope was more than just financial. With their gift, they also lived up to their name - they gave me hope, and they reminded me that I am not alone." -Lucy

"Once I started radiation I could finally take stock of my situation and check my insurance and see where things would be. I can tell you, it didn't look real good. Up to this point, I had managed to keep a positive attitude, but the reality soaked in. Being on social security and still having a loan to pay on, I lost my positive attitude. Kristie, my social worker, spoke with us and encouraged us to send in an application. You cannot imagine the joy I felt when she showed me your letter stating that you would be covering these two bills. Thank you is not even adequate, but it sure put a smile back on my face. Thank you and your organization for the work you do."- Joan

"On my first treatment, my wife Rhonda needed to cash in cans and bottles for gas to make that first trip (to Ann Arbor). At the same time our electricity was about to be turned off. We didn't know how we would get through this maze. Then, along comes our social worker. With her pen in hand, she took away many of our burdens. It took some stress away. We still have a long road ahead of us. Our finances are so limited. Thank you and this blessing you have given us." - Dave Rhonda (pictured); Dave (deceased, inner photo)
